Once upon a time about four years ago, I was standing in the streets of Amsterdam with my brother in law James . He told me had started dating a girl and he really liked her. This definitely caught my attention because out of all the years I had known him , I never heard him say he really liked a girl. He told me he wasn’t sure what to do. It was strange being away from home . “Should I call or or send her a message , I don’t want to seem desperate ” James said.
Yes, call her! Do you know how special she would feel if a guy she likes calls her from Europe?” I said with excitement.
He then pulled out his phone and showed me a picture of her. I have to say, I was very impressed , he had fallen for a true beauty 🙂
I still don’t know if James called Marina while he was in Europe but 4 years and one darling little girl later I got the privilege of sharing and photographing their wedding in Maui.
With the warm air, swaying palm trees and beautiful sandy beaches, a Maui wedding certainly has it’s own type of magic.
I loved how James and Marina decided to incorporate a couple Hawaiian traditions like exchanging leis as a symbol of their devotion and leaving a lava rock as an offering at the site they were married.
It was such a wonderful ceremony and so great to have the families share this experience together.
I am so happy to have this gorgeous little lady as my new sister in law. Congratulations James and Marina. I love you guys 🙂
